March 4-8
Grits, shrimp, wine and more will shine at the annual Charleston Wine + Food Festival. New this year is On the Rocks (‘n Roll) featuring New Orleans musician Marc Broussard paired with cocktails and delicious bites at Memminger Auditorium. Other popular events include the Culinary Village at Marion Square, Cross Country BBQ and the finale Toasted.

Charleston Fashion Week
March 17-21
The spotlight is on style at Charleston Fashion Week, which showcases emerging designer and model talent from across the East Coast. Held under tents in Marion Square, it features 35 runway shows, sure to give you some spring fashion ideas — southern style!

Festival of Houses and Gardens
March 19-April 19
Take a behind-the-scenes peek at some of historic downtown Charleston’s most fabulous homes and the gardens behind those wrought iron gates at the Annual Festival of Houses and Gardens. Flowertown Festival

Summerville is at its best during its Flowertown Festival where colorful bushy azaleas dot the road at every turn. The festival held in the town’s Azalea Park celebrates the blooming of this quintessential Southern bush with a massive display of arts, crafts, kids activities, food booths from local restaurants and a farmer’s market.

Cooper River Bridge Run
March 28
The Arthur Ravenel Bridge is an icon in Charleston connecting Mt Pleasant with historic downtown Charleston. During the classic 10K Cooper River Bridge Run, thousands of runners take over the bridge for one day. Don’t miss the Finish Festival and Bridge Run Expo after the race for music, food and fun.

Family Circle Cup
April 4-12
Watch some of professional tennis’ most elite women athletes battle it out in a beautiful setting at the Family Circle Cup Stadium on Daniel Island, just outside Mt Pleasant. The Family Circle Cup is not just a tournament but a festival with music, local vendors, a marketplace, food, kids activities and more.

Charleston Insiders’ Weekend
May 1-3
Brand new to the area this year is the Charleston Insiders’ Weekend. This three-day festival will showcase the Lowcountry of Charleston, S.C., as the locals know it. Guests will be treated to tours of Charleston restaurants, clubs, shops, golf, biking and more.

Spoleto Festival USA
May 22-June 7
Perhaps the most anticipated event of the year in Charleston is the annual Spoleto Festival USA. A showcase of arts from dance to visual arts to music and more, Spoleto Festival invites artists to town for 17 days of star-studded events. This year’s festival features Emmylou Harris, Dianne Reeves, the Tisha Brown Dance Company and many others.
